Laura grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was steeped in classical education from an early age through Mother of Divine Grace Home School. In 2009, she graduated from Silver Lake College with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education. Laura has many years of teaching experiences. Even before college, she enjoyed teaching piano lessons and tutoring younger students in Math, Latin, Religion, and History. During college, she gained more experience as a line therapist for children with Autism. In addition, she has taught 7th, 8th, and 9th grade History and Religion through Mother of Divine Grace correspondence program.
Laura and her husband, Kent, recently celebrated their 8th anniversary of marriage. Together they have three children, two of whom are savoring the wonderful opportunity of St. John Paul II Classical School. Laura feels this school is a rare and unique opportunity in which students are able to study the good, beautiful, and true, following the proven classical education model. The authentic, Catholic culture is visible in the everyday lives of the students and teachers. St. John Paull II Classical School is truly a blessing to families and the community.
